Achieving Serenity Through Forgiveness
The tenth book, in the Love Series, finds Kaathi, the mystic, and her circle of heroic women embarking on a harrowing journey to the village of Zuba to challenge the male-dominated society addressing problems of emancipation, inequities, worth, freedom, respect, dignity and gender equality.
Kaathi stresses the importance of forgiveness to Zendar and guides her to the afterlife where she apologizes to the men she has harmed and helps her achieve serenity. She then encourages and supports Zendar on her arduous, soul-stirring mission to ask forgiveness of several families to lighten not only her burden but each family’s emotional burden to attain peace.
Under duress, Kaathi organizes a protest of hundreds of Zuba women striving to create laws to protect them and give them equality and freedom. The men counter with a rally of their own to squelch the protest.
As Kaathi and her group return home, the mystic is asked, “If Beloved is in all of us, why are there monsters like my father and brother who have brought nothing but pain, humiliation, and suffering into my life?” The mystic answers the question eloquently.
If you enjoyed The Nightingale, The Celestine Prophecy, The Shack, Sensible Shoes, and The Alchemist, you’ll love reading The Love Series. The novels interweaving of philosophy and inspiration will touch you if not change you, enlighten you if not convert you and enrich you if not convince you that there is a better way forward for women and men of planet earth. The books delve into love’s transformational abilities, its involvement with courage, its ability to sacrifice life itself, its enriching wisdom, its ennobling grace, and the power of its forgiveness.
