LOVE'S SANCTUARY
Discovering Inspiration Through Love

A Self-Help Novel
Offering Emotional and Spiritual Guidance Through Events, Issues and Personal Interaction

Kaathi, visits friends in a neighboring village and meets an endearing, enigmatic young girl with great wisdom and spiritual depth. Other women, she encounters and gives sanctuary to, have faced imprisonment in a box, barbaric female circumcision, and sex slavery. She organizes girls and women, who were circumcised, to protest non-violently to force the village elders to enact a law to protect girls from being mutilated.

Kaathi’s group encounters five disheveled, expelled traitors, who failed in their attempt to unseat the King of Homar. The long-bearded, grisly men are starved for women and decide to abduct Kaathi and the women for their personal pleasure and kill the men who have sworn to protect her. She surprisingly offers them sanctuary in her home village to prevent them from making the women their slaves.

Upon Kaathi’s arrival home, a woman, Zendar, is found near death floating on the river tied to the four corners of a raft. Kaathi discovers in talking to Zendar, she had been tied to the raft for killing nine men that have abused her. At a hearing, Zendar attacks the Elder nearly killing him. Kaathi is given five days by the village council to rehabilitate Zendar or she is to be tied to the raft and sent down the river to die.

Love’s Sanctuary is a vivid portrayal of the corrosive and condescending nature of men and the greatness of the female spirit rooted in the enduring power of love that makes sacrifices and resists and overcomes all forms of dominance.
