Millions of readers made the Left Behind series bestsellers. Now the third in the authors' bestselling Jesus Chronicles is available in trade paperback.

This biblically inspired novel, third in the bestselling Jesus Chronicles, tells the story of Luke-the Gospel writer whose belief was built on the power of faith alone. Luke, who hadn't met Jesus, is skeptical of His miracles, until events in his own life irreversibly change him.

Pledging himself to Christ, he begins a Gospel based on the conversion stories of believers and interviews with those who knew Him best—the disciples who spent three years with Jesus and, most important, His mother, Mary. The result would be a Scripture rich in the miraculous stories of the Lord's divinity, intended to appeal to women, nonbelievers, and the disenfranchised-and that would speak to the heart of Christians all over the world.

This novel encouraged me so much! The historical context and fictional life story of Luke was put together well.

Loved this book. Completely plausible and seemed well researched. I read this before the other books in this series, so now I definitely want to read the others!

Well thought out and researched

While I find the authors take on Lukes life interesting, I wonder where he came up with the thought that Luke started off as a slave? Where on earth did that come from? There is very little information about Luke to begin with, so I am very intrigued as to how that storyline came about. Is there historical information to back that up or is that just incredible literary license?

The rest of the story is totally plausible, not that him being born a slave isnt, I'm just stuck on it. He could have met Saul/Paul in University, why not?

The story brings an otherwise behind the scenes figure to life for me, whether its a real story or not most of it is, at least from the information we do have.

Interesting and yet

The story leading to the Bible New Testament describing the author Luke of the Gospel of that name gives life to the writer; not just the inspired words of the Gospel. Excellent!
The narrator was also excellent!
