Nia catches the “almost-30” blues after a failed relationship with her grad school sweetheart ends, and she begins to receive immediate backlash from family about hurrying to get married and have children like her sisters. Facing the pressures of climbing the corporate ladder, being on the verge of becoming a Psychology doctor, and trying to repair her broken heart, Nia decides she needs a mental break. Going against her first mind, Nia attends the Upscale nightclub but catches the owner X’s attention. X is everything she desires, but suddenly gradual manipulation causes Nia to deviate from her perfectionist role in society and embrace his darker, narcissistic lifestyle. In a subtle change of events, X takes her on a sadistic, mental rollercoaster for his own amusement. Eventually, Nia finds herself at a crossroad ; should she get into the heart and mind of her beloved maniac by joining his game…or should she reverse the psychology and take control of her own mind by ending it all?
