A lot of bad hands get dealt in Vegas, but E. L. Speare may be holding one of the worst: He's cursed with the need to commit sins, and if he misses his daily quota, there's hell to pay - literally. Fortunately, his hometown affords him plenty of chances to behave badly.

But Speare's newest case really has him going out on a limb. The right-hand man of a notorious crime boss has been found dead in a dumpster - minus his right hand, not to mention the rest of his arm. What catches Speare's attention, however, is that the missing appendage was severed clean by a demon-sword, a frighteningly powerful tool of the underworld.

Speare's out of his element, so he turns to a specialist: Ardeth Coyle, master thief, dealer in occult artifacts, and bona fide temptress. Ardeth's hotter than a Las Vegas sidewalk on the fourth of July, but she's one sin Speare has to resist.

The dismembered corpses are piling up, unimaginable evil lurks in the shadows, and if this odd couple hopes to beat the odds, Speare needs to keep his hands off Ardeth, and his head in the game.

This is not a typical wrap-it-up-with-a-bow HEA story. It’s far better. Endings do not have to be so predictable. After reading for the second time I’m still so very pleased that this story didn’t allow the romance to overrun the main story. I want to know more about the unique main character than the romance aspect. We need Stacia Kane’s brand of writing in the world. Please. More Stacia Kane!

Interesting story. I thought I’d be really missing a follow-up, but Las Vegas is definitely a city to fuel the filament, so to speak. Great narration. Would recommend.

Well done

Narration was perfect!!! Loved the morally dark gray MC. I didn’t know there was yet another side to Las Vegas, great world building. SPOILER ALERT: This will leave you hanging. There’s no HEA in this book.

Wooooo!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

boring, wasn't interesting at all, very disappointing.

What could Stacia Kane have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I wish Stacia Kane would go back to writing her downside series. I really enjoyed those and she could write so much more about them.

I didn't like this novel at all

She just kissed him on the forehead and walked out the door. I can assure you I will never read this author again. I just can’t believe the book ended that way. She leaves and Speare still has a demon living in his head. No cliffhanger, no second book, nothing. THE END.

I’m so ticked off I’m not even going to tell you what this horrible book is about.

There was explicit sex and the F-bomb was used 67 times.

As to the narrator: He was absolutely spectacular; with all the voices and any kind of emotion you could ask for. Love Aiden Snow, most of the time, sometimes not so much. He did great with this one though.

No HEA, No HFN, No NOTHING. It sucked!!
