The characters were gritty and authentic, and the people-become-monsters were bizarre and terrifying. Hernandez eerily knows what *my* nightmares are made of.
I listened to the Audible version, and it was surprisingly well done. The narration is distinctive and precise, very easy to listen to. The background sound effects are an unexpected enhancement, adding just enough to the screenplay style to make it engaging.

Cool Story

What horrors hide in the dark of a Nazi experimentation bunker? A group of American soldiers aim to find out. This was suspenseful and I thought it was brilliant. The best part however was the backing music. I didn't realise it was there at first, but in the bunker it was dark and foreboding. I was thrown really off kilter when it changed to swaying grass and chirping birds when it was outside. It was brilliant.
