Mail Order Bride: Fixing Her Cowboy’s Broken Heart is a wonderful Christian western romance story about love. It takes place in the mid-1800s on a large ranch in Colorado, owned by a bitter man. Roger lost his wife and children unexpectedly several years before and can’t seem to get over his depression. He blames God for his loss and has developed an impenetrable wall around his heart. He owns and maintains a ranch by himself and feels that it is time to move on and find someone to grow old with. He places an advertisement seeking a good Christian bride. Lucy, beautiful and loving, feels led by God to respond to the cowboy’s ad in hopes of bringing joy and love to this troubled man’s heart.

Would you try another book from Victoria Otto and/or Nancy Isaacs?
no - as this book was way to religious for my liking. What do you think your next listen will be?
not sureHow did the narrator detract from the book?
she did okWhat character would you cut from Mail Order Bride?
The first wife and 2 daughters...Any additional comments?
This book was not to my liking it was too religious for my taste. It seemed to be mostly Bible/scripture readings and very little actual story. In fact the 2 main characters do not meet until close to the end of the book. The 'romance' part is very far fetched, they meet, marry that same day, he is rude to her and then all of a sudden that night they discover they love each other... the end. Very abrupt end. I would have liked more story between the 2 of them, and show how they actually get to like each other and discover they do love each other and want to start a new life.Bible passages with a hint of a story
