Malaki

Starting at a young age, Malaki’s mystical ties to the land became evident. He befriended animals with a natural ease. They sensed his aura and seemed to trust him immediately. However, with other people that were not Hunds, Malaki was reclusive. He had only known disappointment in the few human friendships he had developed. That was, until he found love.

Then tragedy struck. After being exonerated of a crime, a second one, equally as heinous, was committed and the blame immediately fell upon Malaki. During an ill-fated poker game, conversation surrounding a poaching incident brought about Malaki’s rage. The game ended with a fight in his father’s home and the next week; the poacher was found dead.

The sheriff was not convinced of the young man’s guilt. However, based upon the only evidence presented, he placed Malaki in jail, partially for his own safety. Now, Malaki was unable to move about in public, so his father leads an exhilarating ride to try and prove his son's innocence. But was he too late?
