Warring staff. 'Accidental' poisonings. Topiary of dubious intent. Throw in the full complement of the Toot Hansell Women's Institute and dragons doing yoga, and DI Adams is starting to wonder if she might have made a small misjudgement signing up for this particular spa weekend. And that's before the dead body in the sauna and the storm that cuts them off from the rest of the world. Now she's dealing with a houseful of guests (and staff) who're looking more suspicious by the moment, fending off protesters, and trying to keep everyone safe as the storm closes in. She needs to find the killer, keep the dragons hidden, stop the W.I. forming some sort of posse, and try to resist the urge to arrest everyone. And never mind the problem of the invisible dog. Sure. It's going to be a wonderful weekend.

i wish the more irritating characters hadn’t been rewarded for their nonsense and abuse but there we are. otherwise i enjoyed this a lot. i had read “all out of leeds” and had many questions before realizing that i needed to get further into this series to understand the details.

exceptional characters

Loved this book! Patricia Gallimore brings the story to life with many laugh out loud moments. I hope this narrator continues to record this series.

Dragons are awesome!

I love this series so much. It's undeniably cozy without denying life can be hard. There's a backbone assertion that all the tea and scones and friendship help battle the darkness.

And it's funny, and beautifully written, and the cast is growing nicely.

These are now on my comfort read shelf, the books I read and reread.

And I cannot wait until they are all on Audible
