Saw the Disney movie at age 5, and now, at 64, I am enjoying the books and seeing how they connect to the new movie and the Broadway show. The first rule about Mary Poppins, though, is…!!

Mary Poppins!

In comparison with the other Mary Poppins books this one is disjointed. A fine listen but nothing spectacular

A confused story

I was very impressed with the quality of attention paid and level of knowledge that my aide demonstrated. A very experienced aide. My worker holds a more responsible position within the agency, so to some extent Theresa is a "ringer", Thanks for the exemplary aide today. --Sue

This is a short story versus the previous typical format of a book with several sections and vignettes. The focus here is also a bit different with much time spent looking at things from the Park Keeper's view. It also touches on some softly philosophical thoughts on self worth and the value of how one sees ones self. Not that much of Mary in this story, although she does play key roles. The story does not suffer for this and, in my mind, actually benefits from it.
