The System is broken.

They've come for his daughter.

In the middle of efforts to establish a proper school, Eli Hearthsong finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place when Last Stop is flooded by religious refugees, people who lost their gods in the final battle with the Demon Lord. They've heard rumors of a System Prophet, and hope that this unheard of Class can fix their broken skills and abilities.

However, the System Prophet is none other than Eli's adopted daughter, Mayari, who is only eight years old. She is still figuring out how to use her Class, and doesn't even know if she can help them. The refugees know that Eli is related to the System Prophet somehow, and some are already choosing violence to get what they want.

To make matters worse, the flood of newcomers with broken Classes have triggered a Weather Event, a massive blizzard designed to wipe them out and prevent the spread of their corruption. With Last Stop and the surrounding area buried beneath the snow, can Eli find a solution in time to help everybody out? Or will they all freeze to death instead?

I think it's clear by now that Virgil Knightley and Annabel Hawthorne should forever write books together. The collaboration and the quality is spectacular! Also I've had so much love for Jessica Threet since Metal Mage it's nice to hear yet another quality work brought to life by her. And Evan Jordan brings a warmth and strength to the character of Elias that can't be matched.

I love this series! The story is great: characters are interesting, the pace of the story is great! Already dying for #5!

Fantastic as always. Can’t wait for the next one. 15 word minimums on reviews is unnecessary.

Good progression of a series. Character development is always moving and not too elaborate to lose interest. Listening to levels of enchantments, costs, and etc is only flaw. Even if it follows the priciple of any character development of skill. Either way, i look forward to the rest of the series.

Good series

I feel like too many harem books focus on crude ham handed sex scenes with copy and paste story themes. Not this series. As an army veteran myself, it was refreshing and comforting to become immersed in these books that have a positive trajectory for a former soldier trying to build something good following his trialsom war.

The voice actors are also wonderful, and I feel they bring the characters to life with their emotional portrayals. Jessica Three and Evan Jordan are such skilled voice actors, and their tone and talent really compliments each other. I would love to see them work together more.

Love this series. Eagerly waiting for the next books.
