Christmas is just around the corner, and Ian is doing his best to face the future with courage. But he has some hard lessons to learn: pride can be dangerous, and it isn’t the building that makes a house a home.

A Montana mail order bride sent for Ian by his mother is on the way when disaster strikes, as his house burns down. Ian feels he can’t give Maud the things he thinks she deserves.
The story winds itself around family, friends and circumstances. A very sweet story.




The narration was well done, by Nicole Locke. She gave the characters each a voice of their own.
