It's July in Christmas River, and the temperature isn't the only thing flaring out of control. After a fire destroys her best friend's ornament shop, pie baker extraordinaire Cinnamon Peters soon discovers that the blaze was no accident.

Just days before the annual Christmas River in July Parade and Play, it becomes clear that a maniac is roaming the tourist-packed streets of Christmas River. And he's got a flair for the dramatic.

Will Cinnamon and her sheriff's deputy boyfriend find out who's behind the blaze before the rest of the town goes up in flames?

Fun, quick listen.
No stress. An enjoyable listening experience.
Ms. Kaye is definitely becoming more comfortable with her narration of the characters and I look forward to book 3.

Fun, quick listen.

If you like your mysteries more romance than mystery and your characters fitted to sugar, this one is perfect for you. The narrator is very good, there was a lot of work putting the plot together, but the story line will give you cavities.

Like syrup? This one's for you!

the main character's drama is a bit much for my taste. I caught my eyes rolling upwards when she went on her self flagellation rants. Other than that the characters, the story, the atmosphere, the marathon, are all really good.

good story, great narrator but overly dramatic main character

I have been looking forward to a cozy mystery that did not involve a murder. This one did it, and was very entertaining. I like the narrators voice as well. The only criticism I have was continuous self doubt from the main character.

Enjoyable

This story is dull and cannot capture my attention. I tried to finish, but could not do it. Absolutely disappointing.

Seems very poorly written
