Great ending, overall repetitive, slow narration

The premise and characters are strong. As a teenager Dax starred in a hit TV show and Kailyn was a huge fan. They end up attending law school together and then go their separate ways, meeting again five years after graduation. A tragic event brings them into a working relationship which develops into more. The book got very repetitive with Kailyn questioning her own actions and the custody issue starting to drag on longer than was interesting. Plus the female narrator spoke a bit slowly so I had to increase the speed to 1.2x, which is not something I usually do. I’ve read and listened to several other books by this author that were excellent. This was just not one of them.

Fun read with a little Hotness

This book was pretty tame compared to Hunting’s other books but definitely still carries the chemistry and sexiness you would expect from this writer. The storyline was definitely heartbreaking and the build up was steady. The only thing that ruined it for me was the Fangirl storyline, I found this part of the story a little juvenile for me. Kailyn was portrayed as driven, classy, independent but also passionate, the whole fangirl moments squashed that. Despite this, I’m still a “fan” of Hunting’s books.

An enjoyable romance

I really enjoyed this story. It wasn't overly cheesy and had an interesting story line. If you like laid back romance novels this one is good!

Meet Cute = Super Cute...

I'm fan-girling over this sweet book. An adorable listen. The story & narration are both top notch.

Loved the story! A bit more adult than i was prepared for but really enjoyed. Really easy read as i finished in a day and a half. Loved the characters!
