The end is near—and it’s being supervised by the least qualified angel in Heaven.

Reality is unraveling. The Eye of Providence, the mysterious power source that holds the universe together, has gone dark—or so it seems. As existence itself begins to fray at the seams, angels vanish, demons scheme, and the world teeters on the edge of destruction.

Amidst the chaos, Mercury, a rogue cherub with a flair for sarcasm and a questionable work ethic, is reluctantly pulled back into the cosmic fray. He joins forces with Christine Temetri, a battle-weary journalist, and a cast of immortals, conspirators, and former enemies, each with their own ideas about how to avert—or hasten—the end.

From a ping-pong match that spans centuries to the resurgence of ancient powers, Mercury Rests is a fast-paced, irreverent, and mind-bending ride through divine bureaucracy, theological absurdities, and metaphysical mayhem. Can Mercury patch the holes in the fabric of reality before everything collapses into nothingness? Or will he just wing it and hope for the best?

Find out in the riotous third installment in Robert Kroese’s genre-blending Mercury series.

The story was pretty OK. The virtual narrator was not good at all. Mispronouncing “Job” many times as well as several other words was distracting. It was very robotic also.

Virtual narrator was poor
