Dr. Jordin Davidson, a young freshly graduated doctorate of astronomy and meteorology, has just landed his dream job at a prestigious company, Planet Mercury Logistics. It doesn't take long for him to realize that his coworkers and boss are an eclectic group that acts more like a dysfunctional family than a professional team. However, Jordin is no stranger to adversity and is determined to prove himself and please his employers.

Opportunity knocks while Jordin and his team are on a business trip. An anomalous storm forms over northeastern Europe that defies all known weather patterns. The young meteorologist is eager to study such an event and converts his team from the astronomy division to storm chasers. The truth behind the strange weather may be more than Jordin and his dysfunctional family of a team bargained for. Jordin soon finds himself in a race against drastic actions from world powers and a chaotic force of nature that devastates all in its path. Humanity can only pray Jordin crosses the finish line first.

Great story! What a unique first contact story... I never would've come up with such a creative plot. This book reminded me of AG Riddle's The Winter War... lots of snow and action.

Unique sci fi story
