Charley has escaped from Meritropolis....

But in his quest to take down the system that has taken his brother from him, he must go through Meritorium, a city where gladiatorial games of life-or-death combat are waged between High Scores and Low Scores, man and beast.

Charley and Sandy must face man-eating plants, religious zealots, slave traders, and the ever-present mutant animal combinations that roam a dystopian Coliseum, presided over by Emperor Titus, the one man standing between Charley and the answers he seeks. Man is not an animal, but if they are to make it through Meritorium, will they even be able to tell the difference?

The lines between man and beast, friend and foe, will blur in Meritorium, the riveting sequel to the best-selling Meritropolis.

"Meritorium" was book two of the "Meritropolis" series which now I believe is becoming an epic. This was a fantastic listen and an extraordinarily well-written story. I loved it and felt it was Jurassic meets Hunger Games and holds it's own next to both of them.

There were many things about this audiobook that I thoroughly enjoyed. The world-building was superb, the characters were unforgettable and the animals or mutants were something else. The names of them were amazing. This book was pure genius and extremely creative. Joel Ohman deserves major kudos for this follow-up with no less than five stars and perhaps even more if they were available.

Meritorium" was very impressive and I would highly recommend it for great adventure and a world like no other.

Mikael Naramore gave a flawless performance. His voice inflections were so good that he put me right there with the raw emotions of the characters like pure adrenaline. This is what I love. When author and narrator are a perfect match. Major kudos to him as well. Super job.
