Jayne Entwistle’s performance was wonderful. She brought this lovely and wise work of George Eliot to life in a way no other could.

George Eliot understands human beings more than we understand ourselves. If you’ve read Middlemarch before, this version makes a revisit well worth the time.

Fantastic performance! Jayne Entwistle handles so many characters, voices, dialects with aplomb and grace. I had always wanted to read this book, but I’m so glad I listened to it instead.
