Detective Jordan Sumner saved the last victim. He shot and killed Scott McDonough, a serial killer the press dubbed as the Midnight Rider. Jordan was the toast of the Valley but the case took a toll and didn't come without a deep, personal cost. A few years later, the killings started again and the identity of the first victim brought Detective Sumner to his knees.
