This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
He’s the forbidden obsession I’ve kept secret for years.

Spencer Cavendish is powerful. Ruthless. Dangerous.
He’s also my father’s business partner—and the man who’s haunted my dreams since I was a girl.

At a Midnight Club party, I cross the line and tell him I want him.
He turns me down, saying he couldn’t have me just once.
That his desire would ruin us both.
It’s meant to push me away, but all it does is set me alight.

He’s determined to keep his distance.
But when I offer a portrait session for charity, he bids a million dollars to keep me to himself.
He says he did it to protect me—for my father’s sake.
We both know that’s not the reason.

We’re drawn together by a fierce, forbidden desire neither of us can deny.
He wants to dominate, to protect, to control—but with me, every boundary blurs.

I’m no longer just a female Māori artist finding her voice.
I’m the woman who will either tame the beast… or be consumed by him.

This was another lovely book from Serenity Woods. Nice change up of story line, nice perspective on how life could change for the characters involved.
About the only thing I really didn’t care for is the narration by virtual voice. For quite a bit of the book, if I hadn’t paid quite close attention, I would not have been able to tell which character was speaking. One would think that as advanced as computer technology has become it would be possible to designate different voices for characters with ease. I know I’ll think long and hard before I take on another virtual voice narrated book.

Nice change in story line
