What a great little short story. Would make a great piece in an anthology or a sci-fi original movie. A man at a low point in his life stuck in a traffic jam makes the decision to try a backroad home instead he takes a journey to a back road version of purgatory/hell where one learns don’t be rude to the employees. Perhaps a lesson can be learned if he can survive. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

Read this before in "What Price Gory?" and forgot until I got back into it. I really like this tale, would be a great Tales from the Crypt episode.

This was a fun story. I really liked how Innocente, though not very, was driving a Pinto, seemed quite fitting for where they were. The beginning felt a little slow but was made clear at the end. I will say that if you find it slow, carry on, it gets to a point and I am taking the point to be order the apple turnover. I did like how I felt the characters were flipped over on themselves. Kinda thought Calvin was a jerk, but in the end I liked him and kinda felt do what you have to dude.

Gene Blake did a great job narrating. I think he provided great voices for Julie with sound effects and Innocent. I really enjoyed those characters, written well, but narrated perfectly. He put a lot of energy into his narration and I think that is what helped me to really enjoy the story.
