Retrograde undertone of misogyny…

“Us chaps can’t smile at a woman anymore without worrying about a court appearance.” This was said by the leading male love interest, in earnest and without irony. No protest from the female lead. There are plenty of other fun listens for this genre that don’t include undertones of misogyny or male apologism so I won’t be listening to this book or author anymore.

Lovely storyline

Appreciated the storyline and storyteller did a beautiful job. The characters were well developed and I am excited to continue the story.
