L'opera è composta da 60 poesie, collegate tra loro, come si evince dal titolo, da un solo filo conduttore, l'amore, analizzato in tutte le sue sfumature. L'amore tra uomo e donna, per la natura, per la vita, per gli animali e, purtroppo, anche la distorsione di questo nobile sentimento: alcune persone lo confondono con l'egoismo ed il possesso e sfocia nel femminicidio.
Le poesie sono scritte usando un linguaggio semplice, diretto che serve per far avvicinare tutti alla poesia, anche i giovani.
