Aurora Fields protected her clients like a mother tigress—especially when one was her own mother! So it was going to take a lot more than charm to get her on side with David Brady's plans. Aurora could see he was a smooth operator, used to getting what he wanted, and she was usually immune. What was it about him that left her uncomfortably vulnerable? As for David, he'd always considered himself a good judge of people. So why did each moment with Aurora leave his head and heart reeling? She was an enigma, and he was determined to find the key.

Just be aware before you buy. This is a nice enough little story and you can see hints of the strong wonderful writer Nora is becoming. So from a historical standpoint it’s interesting from that perspective.

The narrator has a lovely voice though somewhat one dimensional.

I love Nora Roberts but this book was beaten up by the narrator. You couldn't tell between all the characters, same tone for all of them, guy and girl had to rewind to figure out who was who. First of her books I wish I didn't download.

3.5 Stars ⭐️ Mind Over Matter was written in 1987, and there were parts that felt like it. However, I liked Aurora. She is a psychic like her mother. David is TV producer doing a series on her mom. They fell in love while working together. It’s still a solid story and it is one of Nora Robert’s better early books.
