This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
Humanity thought they were the only intelligent life in the universe. They were wrong.

An alien spacecraft has crashed on Earth.

A group of scientists want to establish contact with the aliens.

A hostile government wants to nuke the crash site.

Special Forces Major Joe Hunt is caught in the middle.

With time running out to establish a peaceful relationship with the aliens, Joe must battle his instincts and unexpected forces that threaten the very future of humanity. Regardless of what happens, Earth risks being dragged into a galactic civil war it's not ready for.

Minus Epsilon is classic military science fiction that fans of Marko Kloos and Joe Haldeman won’t want to miss. Readers call this thrilling first-contact novel “the most amazing action sci-fi romp”.

I was pleasantly surprised at how the virtual voice wasn't bad at all. The story is great and the pacing is good

The AI voice is better but still has trouble with “Live”. It can’t tell the difference between to live and the broadcast is live.

AI is getting better at speech

We meet them. We're suddenly certain we're not alone. Do we rise to the occasion, do what's best for everyone, or sell out and captulate to fear of the unknown? I'm incredibly excited to learn what comes next.

I prefer when narrators change their voice or accent for different characters in the story, but I was able to enjoy this story greatly. The virtual voice said certain words incorrectly. When it said the word "live" (rhymes with hive) it pronounced it as "live" (rhymes with give). Also, when pronouncing military time like 1330 hours, it pronounced it as 1 thousand 3 hundred 30.

Overall Great Story
