Is there more to love than her bitter memories?

From USA Today Bestselling Author Jennifer Beckstrand

Miriam Bontrager has loved Ephraim Neuenschwander for as long as she can remember. As young teenagers they made a secret pact to wed when they came of age.

But when Miriam's headstrong brother is arrested and her sister is discovered with child, Ephraim decides that Miriam, with her disgraced family ties, is not worthy of him.

Heartbroken and shattered, Miriam vows to never again trust her affection to anyone. But will she surrender her heart when a man of simple faith and gentle ways shows her how to love again?

I Did not like the AI generated voice. It was very monotone so it takes away from the story.

Good story

I loved all of the content of the story for the books of the series, however the virtual voice was not very good, especially when you’re reading Amish based books it did not pronounce words correctly, and you had to pay a lot of close attention and relisten to Parts to understand it correctly because of how the virtual voice read

Great story bad virtual voice

The storyline is great. Keeps you listening and can’t wait for the plots to work themselves out. However, the virtual voice doesn’t pronounce words correctly. Doesn’t pronounce names or even the word Amish correctly. You could tell they went in I believe and tried to correct it to pronounce Amish correctly. But it’s rather annoying as you listen. Plus, a virtual voice doesn’t distinguish between characters or pause and punctuate where necessary. But overall, I love anything this author writes!

Loved the story! Didn’t like the virtual voice.

Great story line. I don’t care for the automatic voice telling the story. I loved the storyline though. Amazon makes plenty of money to provide better quality recordings of the stories

Great story! Sorry quality voice recording.

The good writing created characters that helds my attention! Details painted realistic images, however, virtual voice stunk.

Wanted to shake one character!!
