This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
There’s a very good chance you don’t know what I’m talking about when I use the word Misophonia.

There’s also a very good chance that if you do know what Misophonia is, you’re probably dealing with it on a day-to-day basis.

Some of you might have spent your entire life in a constant fight or flight stance, raging against loud chewers, pen clickers, heavy breathers, and other annoying sounds.

Well, you’re hardly alone.

I did not like the AI generated narration. Too robotic. This book is a very brief introduction to misophonia. I listened to on my way to and from work in 1 day. It talks about what it is like to have misophonia, lists a lot of possible triggers and mentions what the treatment options are.

This book is basically just a small list of things we can relate to. It makes us feel less alone hearing what triggers the author’s miso and if you don’t suffer from Misophonia, it’ll be a good listen so you can get a sneak peek into what we go through. He touches on some things that might help and what might be the cause as well.

I’m kind of glad it was a virtual voice as I struggle finding narrators that I can put up with due to my own miso. Yes, virtual voice can be a bit dry but this one isn’t bad. The S’s and T’s aren’t super sharp.

My misophonia must be minor compaired to yhe aurthors. certain sounds under stressful conditions will send me into an unreasonable fury, but the author comes across as troubled by most sounds and settings. I don't think this will help me explain anything to people not experiencing misophonia.

The decision to record an audio book about misophonia with virtual narration is a incredibly poor one.

At least I'm not as bad off as the author.

It’s refreshing to bring light to this condition, just knowing that other people experience it too. It seems most people have some sort of Misophonia, lots of levels to this.
