Some libraries hold stories. This one hides secrets.

Nina always knew she was different. She could sense souls, see their colours, smell their truth. But she never expected her quiet Bradford library to be the key to another world.

When a hidden door appears in the basement, Nina and her friends, Tessa and Asim, step into a reality far stranger than any book on their shelves. A reality where Nina once guarded the gates of Hell. Her memories are gone, scattered and locked inside books, and someone or something wants to keep it that way.

With humour, heart, and the occasional smell of dodgy souls, Miss Goodone is a story about friendship, identity, and finding the courage to remember who you really are.

Welcome to a story where nothing is normal, trust is a gamble, and one thing is absolutely certain: Never trust anyone in a hat.

If you’d like a story that wanders here and wanders there and doesn’t ever seem to have a purpose, that is just a pure fantasy world, then this book is for you. However, this is not a children’s book. There is a lot of cursing.

Narrator did a wonderful job with different voices, and the production quality was good. There was no echoing in the background when it wasn’t supposed to be there, but there were a few times when there needed to be an echo for some special voice and the narrator made that happen. Great production & great voices.

The story sort of seemed to wander but a lot of people like fantasy that is like that. You never knew where you were going what you were doing or what was gonna happen next kind of crazy but fun.

A trip in the kind of crazy imagination.

Starts off slow but builds quickly once the "door" is opened. Nina, Tessa, and Asim experience some very weird occurrences and meet equally strange people, people who they are never sure are good or evil. Feels at times as if it's a bad dream or nightmare. Narration was good, though as someone else said, some character voices worked better than others.

Good or Evil? Dead or Alive?

This one had a lot of story and quite a few characters to keep track of, but overall it was a good, entertaining listen. The narration was okay — some character voices worked better than others — but it was still a decent job and carried the story well enough.

An entertaining listen
