With forces I don't understand out to hurt my monsters, time is running out to figure out who–no, what–I am.

The weight of the world suddenly crashes on my shoulders, and I'm not sure how long I can carry it. I'm not like the heroes I've read about in books—I've just barely started understanding my powers, how am I going to save anyone?

Could the Fates have screwed up, putting me on this path?

When bodies begin to drop, it's crystal clear: time is up.

Do I tuck tail and hide with my monsters, or do I stand tall and fight for the first place I've ever felt like I could call home?

Monsters Below is book two in The Creatures We Crave series, which is set within the shared universe of Dark Imaginarium Academy. Intended for mature listeners.

It’s entertaining. If you like RL Caulder you’ll probably like this series. I took a chance because it’s in the Dark Imaginarium Academy world. I enjoyed every aspect of the story except for the obligatory sadist/dom Caulder always has to include in their stories. Not my thing. Actually ruins the character and the story for me. I’m uncertain why every single book of theirs has to have someone who likes to inflict pain and subjugation with their sex, even when they’re young and virgins. Not every group needs to have a BDSM kink. It’s not light BDSM either. This book honestly needs trigger warnings. I won’t be buying the last book, I’ll skim it on kindle to get the conclusion without the sadist’s sex scenes.

Good story but….

It was just kind of slow and boring compared to some of the other Dark Imaginarium Academy books. I was really curious about Alexandra & Aloura bc they’ve been hinted at in other books. But I really couldn’t get through the 2nd book. Just kept waiting for something to happen. Even the spicy scenes I just kind of skipped through. I really enjoyed the RH stories w Bex, Alina, Ama, and the witch ones too.

Meh. Not the best of DIA books
