Doug "Moose" McCrae is a 35-year-old, black ex-football player turned bouncer. Woken at 4 am by a woman's blood curdling scream, Moose leaps into action. The action chills him out. A young, fit Latina woman is being attacked by four massive pit bull terriers. Moose jumps into the fight without hesitation and vows that if they survive he's going to hunt down whoever sic'd the dogs on the innocent woman because he knows the attack can't be random - he can feel it.

In helping Alexandra, Moose is led to a vicious dog fight ring, a crooked developer with eyes on the mayor's seat, and cops that don't want him messing in their business. And the closer he gets to the truth he discovers the woman he saved may not be who she says she is. The deck is stacked against Moose, but he moves forward employing his own set of rules - it's how he rolls.

This was a good story, but the skipping and repeated chapters really made it hard to listen to.

Good story, horrible playback
