The Zondervan Biblical and Theological Lectures series provides a unique audio learning experience. Unlike a traditional audiobook's direct narration of a book's text, Moral Choices: Audio Lectures includes high-quality live recordings of college-level lectures that cover the important points from each subject as well as relevant material from other sources.

Moral Choices: Audio Lectures features 16 lessons and is designed to help listeners develop a sound and current basis for making ethical decisions in today's complex postmodern culture. The lectures outline the distinctive elements of Christian ethics while avoiding undue dogmatism. They also introduce other ethical systems and their key historical proponents, including Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, and Immanuel Kant.

After describing a seven-step procedure for tackling ethical dilemmas, ethicist and professor Scott Rae uses case studies to address some of today's most pressing social issues. He guides listeners in thinking critically and biblically about abortion, reproductive technologies, genetic technologies and human cloning, euthanasia, capital punishment, sexual ethics, war, and economics. All new sessions on violence and gun control; race, gender, and diversity; and immigration, refugees, and border control help listeners wrestle with today's most difficult ethical issues.

Designed with the learner in mind, each lecture is approximately 20 minutes. Moral Choices: Audio Lectures is useful for formal students and laypeople alike, providing an accessible introduction to Christian ethics and equipping them to form a basis for practical, ethical decision-making in contemporary culture.

The content and debates are excellent. I actually enjoy the narration as well. It doesn't sounded too scripted which is nice.

Really Good

I really enjoyed listening to this "book", however I did notice the description says nothing about how this is all heavily written from a Christian perspective.

The description should be changed to reflect how morals are based on Christian views, and are not trying to reason from pure logic.

Refreshing ethics from a Christian perspective

I thought I was listening to the audio version of the book but it doesn’t even come close. This is an audio version of a lecture about the book. It’s missing a lot of details that are included on the actual book. Great speaker but not helpful for my class when it’s missing so much information.

Audio lecture, not audio book

You need to change the cover picture. Many of us have thought we were purchasing the textbook read aloud. This is good supplemental material, and we'll read. But again, NOT the textbook.

This Is Not the Textbook

this is not a teaching on basic moral principles but in fact a rather long and boring church lecture on very Christian beliefs, which wouldn't be bad but it does not want to bring the other side to its logic

misleading and sad
