In the third book of Sydney Taylor's classic children's series, Ella finds a boyfriend and Henny disagrees with Papa over her curfew. Thus continues the tale of a Jewish family of five sisters, Ella, Henny, Sarah, Charlotte, and Gertie, living at the turn of the century in New York's Lower East Side. Entertaining and educational, this audiobook brings to life the joys and fears of that time and place.©1954 Sydney Taylor (P)2001 Listen & Live Audio, Inc. Critic reviews

"[A] crisp recording of a beloved novel." (Publishers Weekly)
"A master of age and accent, Toren moves flawlessly between generations and ethnic backgrounds. Fans of the series will be happy to settle with this audiobook, while those who are meeting the All-of-a-Kind Family for the first time will soon feel right at home." (School Library Journal)

I have kids from ages 1-8 years of age. Boys and girls.

My older boy, 8, enjoyed this book and so did his sisters, 6 and 4. What a great treat to have a book that they all can listen to and get in on.

We listened to the first book of this series and they *loved* it. Listen to that one first so you'll be connected to the characters.

My one year old has enjoyed being a part of the pretend that has occurred after this book!

All 4 of my kids enjoyed this!

A very enjoyable sweet story. I wish all families had this much love for one another. It would be a much better world.
