Mortality and Faith is the second half of an autobiography of David Horowitz, the first installment being Radical Son which was published more than 20 years ago. It completes the account of his life from where the first book left off to his 78th year.

In contrast to Radical Son which focused on his political odyssey, Mortality and Faith was conceived as a meditation on age and on our common progress toward an end which is both final and opaque. These primal facts affect all we see and do and force us to answer the questions as to why we are here and where we are going with conjectures that can only be taken on faith. Consequently, an equally important theme of this work is its exploration of the beliefs we embrace to answer these questions and how the answers impact our lives.

David's life is one of those lives that you love to stand back and watch unfold. Simply amazing. The only dark side is watching David walk right up to the gates of Faith in Christ with help from the likes of Pascal and his wife April only to turn around and walk away! Praying for you David! This book has also helped me understand more completely the ethos behind socialism and Communism. David, with clarity, simplicity and wealth of insight captures the heart of Socialism, its heart, errors and downfalls. This book should be a required primer for those wanting to further understand, properly, socialism. As for the narrator... I've been told I was easy to listen to. Buy the audiobook and I'll let you be the judge of that :)

An Amazing life lived!

This book is completely different than his first biography and the narrator is irritating.
I am very disappointed.
