Mortimer Grim is a tween thrust into adulthood. Forced to take over his family's business as a mortician, he inadvertently unleashes a horde of ghosts on his small town of Tragedy. A very funny listen that reminds me a lot to the likes of "Nightmare before Christmas" and Coraline. The last part of the story may be a bit confusing and having almost 50 chapters in a 3hr+ listen may be a bit strange, but the story is a joy to listen and the VA makes good job keeping the quirky pace going. I got a few laughs out of it and I recommend it to people who like weird and funny stories about ghosts.

I loved this story, and the audio version was perfect. It is a compelling fun story of Mortimer growing up with his mortician family. The author is a wonderful storyteller and I recommend this book for kids and adults. It does have a happy ever after ending.

This was such a cute and entertaining story, even though there were a few moments that left me a little frustrated with the characters. That said, those moments didn’t take away from how much fun I had overall. The narrator did an absolutely excellent job, really bringing the story to life and adding so much energy to the experience. There were even a few laugh-out-loud moments that caught me off guard in the best way. It was a light, enjoyable read that had its quirks and left me smiling by the end.
