In this Pride and Prejudice variation, Elizabeth Bennet never expected to find herself employed as a companion to Anne de Bourgh during the London season. Nor did she expect to see Mr. Darcy so frequently, as his aunt Lady Catherine repeatedly invites him to tea in hopes of fostering a match between her daughter and nephew.

But as Elizabeth and Anne develop an unexpected friendship, she begins to see a different side of the proud Mr. Darcy. His quiet kindness toward his cousin, his subtle humor, and his growing appreciation for Elizabeth's wit make her question everything she thought she knew about him.

When Lady Catherine realizes her nephew's attention has turned toward her daughter's companion rather than Anne herself, she banishes Elizabeth from the household without warning. But she hasn't counted on two things: Anne finally finding her voice, and Darcy realizing exactly what—and whom—he wants.

So much better than the first one I read

What a difference... great story ...just about the best virtual voice i've heard. I wish the author could make her stories longer. Satisfying twists on the original. Very nice touch to Elizabeth's mother.
