Great story telling love this era

I really loved this book the era the narrator each personality had its individual story I have listened yo this book more than once

True page turner will read again. The author really draws you into the personality of each character and how the emotions change over time. Wish there was a part 2

Awesome Storytelling

Wow! I could just imagine this on the big screen. The costumes, the cars, and old St. Louis as the backdrop. The imperfect hero Baltimore was very complex. Good character development.

Great storytelling

Loved this narrator. Deep gravelly black male voice and smooth female. Felt I was back in the 40’s. Not too hard to take the mistreatment of the era - woven in a believable way - at least the way I wanted to hear it. Will look for more from both author and narrator

Where to begin? I stumbled upon this book while looking for a romance novel. Let me first say that Ezra Knight can do no wrong when it comes to narration of a book! He is by far one of the best to ever do it. He actually performs the stories. He doesn't just read. Now to the book, this was my first listen by this author. However, it certainly won't be my last. I can't wait to listen to everything he has on Audible. Generally, I don't listen to books without any Audible reviews , but this was a winner! Though there are multiple characters in the book, the character development is so good that you feel like you know each one of them personally. I was invested in each one of the characters lives. I actually cared about what happened to them. Baltimore and Penny were my favorites. Grab this book quick.
