Rylly Barr’s long awaited dream is about to become a reality. Despite numerous mishaps including robbery and attempted murder, the grand opening of the Southern Comfort Cooking School and Restaurant is a rousing success until Bobby Spence, a television chef, tastes the Trinidad Chicken, clutches his throat, falls to his knees and dies at Rylly’s feet.
Rylly is still reeling from Bobby’s death when she discovers the deed to an island in a hidden drawer in her husband’s dresser. The island consists of an island, a mansion house and forty-seven men, women and children, forty-seven very angry men, women and children who were given notice of eviction by her deceased husband. Rylly wonders if they are behind the murderous problems that seem to haunt her footsteps.
When Mac Jamison’s new partner decides that Rylly must be guilty of Bobby’s murder, Rylly and Kohler must find the killer while juggling the grand opening of her culinary school, a student who’s life is being threatened, and an island psychic who makes vague prophecies that no one understands until they come true. good story

Good story but the narration was terrible, there were pauses where there shouldn't be. I didn't like the virtual voice.
