David O’Neil is a smart, handsome, New York cop who is used to always having his ducks lined up in a row. But when he moves to a small town in Texas, David’s ducks quickly turn into raging bulls.

David finds himself right dead in the middle of a dangerous murder case filled with many different players. When a woman

is shot and killed, David dives into the deep end of the case. But instead of becoming the lead character in charge, David

soon realizes that he needs the help of his friends—and one particular friend turns out to be a dwarf who travels around

with a pet chimpanzee named Guss.

David knows that he is fighting a dangerous woman who is determined to turn his small Texas town into a drug lab. The

woman isn’t alone. She’s connected to a corrupt FBI agent who betrayed his wife. David finds out the FBI agent’s wife has

plans of her own...and killing everyone in her path is part of her plan. But things aren’t always as they seem. When David

finds himself far away from town when the sky falls Chief Farps steps up to bat and hits a home run...or does he?

Will David end up falling prey to a pit full of vipers or will the heatwave he’s trapped in break?
