Alyssa Maxwell's Gilded Age Mysteries

I recently discovered this series and fell in love with it and the characters. Ms. Maxwell does a splendid job of developing her characters, exposing their depths and complexities. Even so, the books remain cozy and enjoyable. I knew who did it early on in some and was surprised in others, but all have been enjoyable. I am about to start her most recent in the series and hope there will be many more to come.

As an Alyssa Maxwell fan, I was not disappointed by the story. Emma Cross is a spunky lady, with a wonderful compassionate heart.

love this series. so far i haven't figured out who the killer is in any of the books, FANTASTIC!!

You know you are listening to a masterpiece when you're getting mad at the GBS lady for interrupting your book. Alyssa Maxwell 's Murder at Beechwood is a great "read" The Gilded Newport Mysteries Just keep getting better and better!

EXCELLENT WRITER AND GOOD NARRATOR

The third book in this series is very interesting and intriguing. Emma's and Derek's romance is still at a very early stage. The snobbishness and hypocrisy of the aristocrats are so........disgusting! I admire Emma's strength and independence and I hope she will find someone good enough for her.
