Logan once again has to navigate around family. Her cousin Rayne is extremely helpful. Between the characters and the Narrator, I couldn’t help but love the story.

Logan is caught up in a mystery when all she wants is to help her uncle get his property designated as a historical site, and to open her own school for the visual arts. As more and more “unfortunate events” occur, things are pointing to Logan as the guilty party. Can she uncover what’s really going on before she becomes the next victim?

I was immediately drawn into this fabulous mystery written by Nancy Engle. There were just enough details shared for me to think I had it solved, but also keep me guessing. Definitely a thrilling story.

I really enjoyed Kelley Hazen’s narration. She does a fantastic job of portraying the characters feelings and emotions.

This is my 2nd book by author and was better than the 1st. I really enjoyed the characters of Logan, Ran, Rose and Frank. Logan is accused of murder of some of the characters and she does some of the investigating on her own and getting into deeper trouble especially with Batty, it also had a surprise about the killer, it has good narration. Cannot wait until next book I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

I enjoy mysteries that don't get lost in graphic gore, which usually doesn't add anything except shock value with no increase in quality of the story. The author created an environment where I was able to visualize the events as they happened and as they were investigated. The narrator is one of my favorites and I find myself browsing for new audiobooks based on her narration. She didn't disappoint.

I will continue to follow this author and narrator

It's the second book by Ms Engle that I listened to and I liked it even better than the first one:)

The story is really fast paced, with lots of twists and turns you expect in a good mystery. The murder plot is very well thought out, very logical and intriguing, and the solution quite surprising though macabre, when you think of it...:)
The characters are well written - you like most of them, you immediately hate some others telling yourself 'aha, these are the bad guys', and yet you have that nagging feeling that something is not completely right, but you can't really pinpoint what until the very end... Very well done, indeed:)

Naration by Ms Hazen is great, as usual. As always, the characters are immediately recognizable, each having a unique voice matching their personality, and the narrative parts are very well read with that perfect balance between the emotional and the descriptive...
