Escape to Frosty Pines...leave your worries behind, but watch your knitting!
In the quaint town of Frosty Pines, Wisconsin, Julia Holmes seeks a peaceful escape from her hectic life. But tranquility shatters when she finds a body hidden beneath her cousin Cody's woolen mill machinery. With the local knitting group and charming log cabin architect Owen by her side, Julia dives into a mystery steeped in scandal and secrets. As they unravel clues from a Prohibition-era past and search for a killer skilled with knitting needles, Julia learns that some threads bind deeper than she imagines. Will she uncover the truth before she becomes the next victim?
Cozy up with this charming small-town mystery full of wool, wit, and warmth. Perfect for fans of Allie Pleiter, Maggie Sefton and M.C. Beaton.
©2025 Amelia Pine (P)2025 Amelia PineI read the book first and then listened to the audio because I liked it so much.
I especially loved the resourceful sleuth and her knitting circle sidekicks, the beautiful Northwoods setting, and the crafty puzzle mystery.
The narration was really good! Each character sounded different, and the narrator even nailed the Wisconsin accent for Carole!
I definitely plan on continuing on with this series!

MURDER AT THE WOOLEN MILL by Amelia Pine is everything I want in a cozy mystery: charming small-town setting, lovable (and delightfully nosy) characters, and just enough twists to keep me listening late into the night. Pine’s prose has warmth and wit, like settling into a favorite armchair with a mug of tea and your knitting. The mill itself is practically a character—wool, gossip, and secrets woven together into a perfectly patterned plot.
The narration is spot-on, with voices that bring each quirky villager to life. I laughed, I gasped, and I immediately wanted more. If you love mysteries that balance suspense with heart and humor, this one’s a must-listen. Amelia Pine has a fan in me.
