Rhode Islander Edna Davies is in Colorado when she is confronted by a private detective and challenged to find a missing woman. Anita Collier appears to be alive. Her paycheck is deposited, her bills are paid, her phone is answered; but closer inspection reveals everything is automated. Nobody has actually seen her for several weeks, except perhaps Edna's son, but he refuses to talk. In her search for the truth, Edna plunges deep into danger when she uncovers more than one murder and struggles to prevent another.

Would you consider the audio edition of Murder by Proxy to be better than the print version?

The narrator captured the Rhode Island accent, which made listening to the audio edition enjoyable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Murder by Proxy?

I often have trouble remembering a book title after I have read a book, but in the case of Murder by Proxy, the revelation of the word "proxy" in the story made the title unforgetable.

Which character – as performed by Melba Sibrel – was your favorite?

Edna's voice is well captured by Melba.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Edna recognized the window art, I realized that Edna was on to solving the mystery.

Any additional comments?

I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Hurry.

I'm not going to be able to finish this. I listened for 20 min. and it's the worst narration I have ever heard and I've listened to hundreds!
Suzanne Young wrote "The Program" and had a different narrator and it was great. The narration is so bad on this one, I can't give the book a chance. Absolutely awful!!!

I need a refund!!!
