It's official! Siobhan is now Garda O'Sullivan, and her five siblings couldn't be prouder. While her brother James runs Naomi's Bistro, Siobhan is doing her part to keep the village safe. Then one night the local priest summons Siobhan to the church cemetery. There's a dead man in the graveyard - above ground. He's a stranger, but the priest has heard talk of an American tourist in town searching for an Irish ancestor. A detective sergeant is dispatched from Dublin to assist with the case, and, as fate would have it, it's Macdara.

Things have been awkward between him and Siobhan since he left, but their partnership soon unearths that the victim was from Dublin, Ohio. As they dig for a motive among the gnarled roots of his family tree, long-buried secrets are unearthed.

Now, they'll have to stay two steps ahead of the killer...or they'll end up with more than one foot in the grave.

This series gets better with each new book

This 3rd entry in the series does not disappoint. The story of how secrets and money can destroy a family for generations is wonderfully plotted.
The author also did a wonderful job dealing with the passage of time across the series.

Wonderful, clever, intriguing !!

Another twisted murder adventure by Ms. O’Conner, with even more open ended clues that lead the reader (listener) in all different directions.
Well written and excellently performed. Ms. Lennon’s voice has a pleasant Irish lilt that changes easily to an American accent as well.
I am now very invested in Gardas O’Sullivan and Flannery, and I anxiously await the next installment of this series!!

Excellent Series

I look forward to each book in this series. Carlene O’Connor has kept the characters simple and fun. A light-hearted clean escape to Ireland. No worries if the kids are listening because there’s no bad language or embarrassing character engagements. Can’t wait to listen to the next one!

love this series!

Listened to the whole book in one day. I loved the first two and this one was just as good. The characters and side plots make for a well developed story. Perfect amount of humor, and even though I had this one solved, it still didn't disappoint. Highly recommend this series!
