Murder is never the right note on Tin Pan Alley, the legendary centre of New York's music publishing industry...

When "song plugger" George Rankin is found dead in the locked room of his apartment, reporter Bobbie Flynn, with the help of Detective Nolan, and opposition of her father, Inspector Flynn, delves deep into the glittering yet treacherous world of music publishing, where every note holds a secret and every alleyway conceals a potential suspect.

Along the way they are joined by Mary Aston and Kit Aston's aunt, Agatha in a case that takes them from Hell's Kitchen to the hell of trench warfare in World War I.

The Bobbie Flynn Mysteries are by turns a thrilling, twisty, romantic cocktail set in 1920’s Prohibition New York. They include real life historical figures from the period including Damon Runyon. Perfect for readers who enjoy the feel of a cozy mystery without on the page sex, violence or bad language.

Bobbie Flynn features in the Kit and Mary Aston book, ‘The New Year’s Eve Murders’, as a guest character.

Admittedly, I was pretty distracted while listening to this virtually narrated book. But the story itself as well as the characters were interesting and I will probably go back and listen to it again. Narration good. Only a couple of incorrectly pronounced words. I know many would just totally ignore listening to the books from this author that are Virtual Voice, but give them a try. You might be surprised.
