Feast on this delectable collection of "whodunits" from some of the mystery world's most diabolical chefs. Whet your appetite with Sara Paretsky's "Skin Deep," in which fan-favorite Chicago private investigator, V.I. "Vic" Warshawski, takes on a chi-chi salon after one of its clients turns up dead. For your next course, try Wendy Hornsby's award-winning "Nine Sons," a country schoolteacher's recollection of a gifted student whose farm life was more troubled than it seemed. Then treat yourself to Elizabeth Peters' "The Runaway," which tells of two sisters who flee from home—and head straight into the arms of terror. Other menu choices include chilling delights from Loren D. Estleman, Joan Hess, Sharyn McCrumb, Marcia Muller, Barbara Paul, Nancy Pickard, and Bill Pronzini.

Like all the collections I've heard, the stories and narrators vary. In this one, they range from good to excellent. That's much better than most, so giving this one 5s.

Excellent for a collection

For anyone interested in crime, these short stories provide a great introduction to audiobooks showing a range of authors and narrators and how their stories can be transformed through the magic of audible. The stories are great too.

Great First Listen

Some of the narrators are so flat that even in stories with only three characters, it was sometimes difficult to figure out which character was speaking. The stories themselves ranged from entertaining to predictable - but the narration was sometimes so irritating that it was difficult to notice the stories at all.

an ok listen

What disappointed you about Murder to Go?

What a waste of money on this one. Boring stories the bits I tried to listen to anyway. I have to say I didn't listen to the whole thing only part of each story. It sounds like the narrators were talking from the bottom of a metal barrel. I can't listen to this.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger at the waste of money.

Any additional comments?

I want my money back.

Ugh!
