Good Story Without Unnecessary Length

Many true crime books contain contain lengthy and often unnecessary transcripts. This book described a fascinating story including all that was necessary.

Great book!

Best book I’ve found on this terrible event. So much detail about this case. I definitely recommend.

Too many rabbit holes

No spoilers here, but this is an unsolved crime. And exploring in depth , ad nauseam, all of the possible suspects who were later cleared got confusing, and eventually boring. I didn’t finish this book.
The other problem I have with this is something that a lot of people will violently disagree with me about and it has nothing to do with the writing of the book. It is to do with the glorifying of organizations like future farmers of America, where animals are raised in many cases as pets. They are given names and learn to trust humans. Then they are sold to be slaughtered. The fear, confusion and sense of betrayal those animals must experience goes beyond my comprehension. I just don’t think that doing that expresses a love of animals.

And yes, I am a vegetarian and NOT for health reasons.

Please know that I mean no disrespect for the victims and their families. My heart truly goes out to everyone involved.

there was so much unnecessary length in this book it felt dragged out eventually I got bored and couldn't finish it due to the unnecessary detail.
