Spring Break 2017

For Spring Break, I was the tour guide for a trip from Arizona into Mexico. I led my mother and Art from Phoenix to Nogales and then into Hermosillo and Los Mochis. From there, we caught El Chepe into the Barrancas del Cobre (Copper Canyon Railroad) as it passed through the beautiful Sonoran Desert and into the mountains surrounding Creel. In Creel, we toured the Parque Nacional Cascada de Basaseachi, Mexico's highest year round waterfall), the Valle de Las Ranas y los Hongos (Valley of the Frogs and Mushrooms), the Valle de las Monjes (Valley of the Monks), the San Igancio Mission Church, and the Cueva de Sebastian, a cave inhabited by the Tarahumara. After Creel, we took El Chepe the remaining distance to Chihuahua and checked out the Casa Chihuahua, Quinta Gameros, the Museo Casa de Villa, the Plaza de Armas, and the Palacio de Gobierno. The remaining part of the journey took us north to Ciudad Juarez and El Paso.
