My Fated Protector by Ariel Renner ~~ I read My Fated Protector on Kindle and also listened on Audible, and this book was a really fun start to the series. I enjoy paranormal academy romance, and this story had the perfect mix of magic, danger, tension, and a strong fated-mate storyline that kept me interested from the beginning.
The story follows Eva, the female main character, whose life changes quickly when she discovers that the world is far more supernatural than she ever imagined. She ends up being pulled into a dangerous magical environment where secrets are everywhere and nothing is as simple as it first appears. Eva isn’t weak or helpless though ~ she’s strong, stubborn, and determined to figure out what is really happening around her, even when things start getting dangerous.
Then we meet Nathaniel, the male lead, and he definitely gives off the classic grumpy, powerful protector energy that I always enjoy in paranormal romance stories. Nathaniel is serious, guarded, and clearly carries a lot of responsibility, especially when it comes to protecting Eva. At first he tries to keep emotional distance, but it becomes obvious pretty quickly that their connection is deeper than either of them expected.
One thing I liked about the story was the growing tension between Eva and Nathaniel. Their relationship builds slowly as Eva starts to understand more about the supernatural world and the role Nathaniel plays in it. The protective instincts he has toward her make it clear that there may be a fated bond forming between them, even though both of them seem hesitant to fully accept it at first.
The story also includes danger, supernatural threats, and hidden enemies, which keeps the plot moving. Eva begins discovering that she may have abilities and importance within this world that she never expected, and that realization brings both new power and new risks.
Listening on Audible really added to the experience because the narrator did a great job capturing the emotional tension between the characters. The narration made the action scenes feel more intense and helped bring Eva and Nathaniel’s personalities to life.
Overall, this was a really enjoyable paranormal romance with academy vibes, strong characters, protective instincts, and a fated-mate connection that slowly builds throughout the story. By the end, several secrets are revealed and the stakes get much higher, which definitely makes you curious about what will happen next.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

ai voice gone wrong

sighhhhhhh . i disliked main character and ai voice. the cringe worthy sex scenes with the AI voice narrative was not good. I couldn't finish the story.
