When Pyper shows up to a winter festival half a day early to beat the storm, she learns the event has been put on hold. Now she’s stuck alone in a campsite with a blizzard that’s getting worse with each furious flake.

The good news? Someone else beat the storm too, which means Pyper won’t be on her own after all.

The bad news? That someone is the ever-grumpy Kenneth Billings, a man she’s secretly nick-named Beamer Boy, Office Grinch, and her new and rising favorite, Twinkie Head.

But what happens when the two are stuck sharing a glamping dome while the storm outside rages on? Is there actual chemistry between them or has the blizzard gone to their heads?

*Trigger Warning: Talk of a serious car accident and a near-drowning incident too.

Includes bonus book, Five Days with My Super Hot Ex.

look, I'm not picky at all. I don't DNF anything , ever. I don't get hung up on things in books that other people do. which is why I rarely write reviews. I don't care of the story is complex or simple or predictable or a true mystery. BUT I tried this book because it sounded cute and I thought I'd give the AI reading a try. I hate it. it ruined the book. I will actively avoid it in the future and that's sad.

I wish it wasn't read by AI

This story is cute unfortunately the monotone virtual voice make it hard to tell when we are on the male pov

It was a cute story, but hard to get into. I felt like the narrator was taking away from the story. Something was missing from her reading. Most audiobooks that I’ve listened to when there is only one narrator takes the time to distinguish between both characters. I felt this narrator did not do a great job of that.

Cute story, but hard to get into.

Would be a great physical book but the AI narrative is aweful! Couldn’t keep track of characters storyline cuz of it

Good story line

The story itself is a sweet, light holiday romance and works well as a cozy seasonal listen. The premise is fun, the characters are likable, and the plot is exactly what you’d expect for a Christmas comfort read.

Unfortunately, the audiobook experience is really hurt by the computer-generated narration. The AI voice is flat, emotionless, and often distracting, which makes it hard to stay engaged with the story. Moments that should feel warm, funny, or heartfelt fall completely flat because there’s no natural pacing or emotional inflection.

This book would benefit greatly from a human narrator. Please consider moving away from AI voices for audiobooks. It takes away from an otherwise enjoyable story.
