Overall this was a good book. I just wish it was a better narrator reading it.

Very sad

Thanks for sharing your story it's a lot of people that can relate & are afraid to tell anyone. People that allow things like to happen should be punished cause they are sick as well. As an adult we should protect the ones that can't protect themselves.

The title of this book is very eye catching & the premise promises a story worth delving into.

I think that this author has an incredible life journey & she should be proud of the obstacles she’s overcome. The story for me reads that the author isn’t healed from the trauma she’s experienced which limits the takeaways from this book.

I didn’t really learn anything from the book besides the fact that this author endure an enormous amount of trauma. There wasn’t really a satisfying end. The child abuser hasn’t grown, hasn’t been held accountable but that isn’t the authors fault as this isn’t a work of fiction.

I do believe that the graphic details ( regarding the sexual abuse) were unnecessary & repetitive. As a reader I don’t want to read soft child porn. Also, the big question for me is what was the mother’s upbringing like? And what was Patrick’s upbringing?

I’m happy that the author got her non profit off the ground. And I’m happy that she’s found love. I would have loved to know what happened to her first child’s father.

A lot of the decisions people made were infuriating. But again that’s of no consequence to the author as she’s unable to control others actions.

I will say that I expected the flow of the store to support the title of the book. The book delve into the sexual abuse but then the story diverted into other aspects of trauma that perhaps could have been saved for a follow up book, or separate this book into Part 1 and Part 2, for better storytelling.

I’m happy for you author that you’ve penned a book! That isn’t light work, id encourage you though to consult an editor & Beta readers first your future novels & perhaps even consider a revised version of this book once you’ve undergone therapy &inner healing.

Thank you for sharing your story! You’re a strong woman & you deserve happiness!!
